The Girl In The Elevator
I'm well and ready for the next day,
It's the first time I don't feel like a throwaway.
I press the button and the bell rings,
Patiently waiting for what this day brings.
The door opens and then I enter.
I now stand in the center.
The lift stops, opens and enter a goddess.
The first thing that hits me is my calmness.
I cough to attract attention,
Why won't she look my direction?
Turn around and notice me, I need to see you.
Turn around and notice me, you'll love the view.
I compose myself and prepare to say "Hi".
Make it quick, else you'll be saying "Goodbye".
I go without warning, "Hi, good morning."
She sees me, and smiles back. My heart
As I sit down quietly,
Three pillars stood before me.
Three pillars as high as my chest,
Three pillars giving it their best.
A voice tells them to reach higher,
A voice tells them not to tire.
They hear the voice and then stand tall,
Carefully they reach the highest wall.
Three pillars knew their dance,
Three pillars keep their stance.
Steadily, they stand their ground,
Firmly, their bodies resound.
A quiet noise fills the air,
Three pillars built by despair.
As their journey comes to an end,
Three pillars slowly descend.
